The Best Healthy Snack
Energy balls... everybody and their mother is talking about them and for a good reason. They are super easy to make, are a great healthy snack when you are on the go and will satisfy your sweet cravings without feeling guilty! I tried a few different recipes over the years and this one is by far my favorite. The mix of cacao and orange is absolutely divine.
Ingredients (will make approximately 15 balls depending on the size you want)
* 1 cup of unsalted cashews
* 10 big pitted dates
* 1 orange zest
* 5 tablespoons of orange juice
* 2 tablespoons of raw cacao
* 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
All you need to do is to mix everything in a food processor until it becomes a thick paste. Roll into balls and set in the fridge for a couple of hours. You can keep them in the fridge a few days without any problem. They make a great snack when you feel peckish mid-afternoon, as a quick breakfast if you overslept or to recharge your batteries after the gym!
