A few things I've been enjoying for a few months already:
Character foundation brush: I'm sure you've all seen these weird looking tools shaped like giant toothbrushes all over Youtube and your Instagram feed. I've always wondered how they would perform and picked this one up at my local Boots. Verdict? I'm not disappointed at all. I'm quite impressed actually. It blends liquids and creams very quickly without leaving any streaks on my face. It distributes foundation evenly and gives a beautiful natural finish. The bristles are soft, very densely packed and you do get used to this new way of application very quickly. I tend to hold mine at the base so I'm very eager to get the real Artis palm brush.
Benefit High Beam: An oldie but a goodie. Still my favorite cheek highlighter to this day. My skin has changed since the beginning of my pregnancy and has become a bit more dry. I mix a couple of drops with my foundation when I want a dewy finish and use it on my cheeks before applying blush. The pinkish hue looks very flattering on my pale skin and the texture looks way more natural than a powder.
MAC Peach Blossom Lipstick: My perfect nude. Peachy, creamy, with enough pigment to make me look lively. It's always in my bag and the perfect shade to throw on without a mirror.
MAC Boldly Bare Lip Pencil: The perfect companion for Peach Blossom. I've been looking for a perfect natural lip liner for a long and this is the one. I feel like MAC doesn't get much attention these days but to me this is still the place to shop for lip products. You need to sharpen this one, the best kind if you ask me because you can always have it nice and pointy to line your lips with precision. The consistency is just perfect, not too creamy to the point it bleeds outside your lips and not too dry either.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer: My quest for the perfect concealer is over. Great coverage, beautiful thin consistency and blends like a dream. I've really struggled with concealers the last year or so as most of them crease and make me look 10 years older. This is my saviour and I will be picking up another one as soon as this one runs out.
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet: Nothing fancy here but this is exactly why I like it. It delivers what it says on the tube. It keeps my skin hydrated without looking greasy, has a lovely light fragrance and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I travelled a lot during my second trimester and went on a few long haul flights. It was always in my carry-on and I kept on reapplying it to keep my skin from dehydration. I still use it on a regular basis, especially as a makeup base.
Adidas Superstars: Wanna hear something funny? I don't even like pink. Until I saw these. I don't know if I'm influenced by the fact that we are expecting a little girl but I couldn't stop thinking about them. They are surprisingly wearable and go perfectly with whites, tans et greys. I've been wearing them loads and always get compliments on them!
