The Boots I Can't Stop Wearing This Autumn
Let’s be shallow and talk about a pair of shoes, shall we?
The Isabel Marant Dicker boots is something I’ve been admiring for a long long time.
Considering I was living in Dubai for the last 4 years I couldn’t really justify to splurge on them. My philosophy when it comes to buying a designer item is to evaluate the cost per wear so it was definitely not the smartest purchase!
As we have seasons now happy dance (and I couldn’t stop thinking about them let’s be honest) I took the plunge and bought them last September.
I ordered them via mytheresa . It was my first experience on this website and I have to say that the process was very pleasant. The shipping was free, the delivery fast and everything came beautifully wrapped in a lovely yellow box.
As you might have understood by the title I’ve been living in them. They are extremely comfortable, which is why I wanted to review them if you are considering getting a pair. I was a bit hesitant to order them online as I like to try anything on before buying, especially shoes, but they fit true to size. I always wear them with thin ankle socks, that way you can still see a bit of skin peaking through when you wear cropped jeans or skirts.
They are extremely easy to walk in. Never have I found such comfortable heeled boots! I only wear heels for occasions, the rest of the time you will find me wearing flat shoes. The size of the heels is perfect to give you a little boost but small enough to make them easy to walk in. You know how some shoes require to be broken in? These don’t. No discomfort, no blister to report. They’ve been comfortable since day one and it’s not always the case, even with designer shoes! You can even run behind toddlers in them… :-)
I’m very happy with the color I got. These are the brown ones, they go with most of my autumn/winter wardrobe. The suede leather is very soft and supple. I wouldn’t wear them on super heavy rainy days but I’ve protected them with a rain spray as soon as I got them and they still look brand new!
The only downside I have to point out is that the heel is surprisingly fragile. I wore them for the first time on cobbled streets and even though I was careful I managed to make a little tear in one of the heels. Nothing major but I was a bit upset considering the price tag…
Also, the sole is very smooth and therefore slippery so I went to the cobbler and asked him to put a non-slip sole to feel more secure. They feel nice and stable now so I’m ready for frosty mornings!
I don’t regret this purchase one bit, in fact it was one of the best investment pieces I bought lately. I really want them in beige for next Spring but they seem to be sold out everywhere and not coming back in stock. :-(
Please let me know if you know where I could find them in 39!
Until next time guys…
